February Camp - Archery

Archery Was On Target

We are ALL God's Children

Psalm 127:4

"Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth."

Learning about the different bows and their parts along with arrows and their parts

Archery Skills

The young men learned and refined archery skills. We challenged the young men to think about what they are aiming at on the target and in life? We talked about how are we hitting our goals; that it takes staying focused, practicing, and working hard.

Wood Working Skills

Campers learned how to build three hatchet throwing targets. We taught them to measure twice and cut once. They learned how doing it right the first time is the easiest and time efficient way to do things.

Wisdom from Scripture

We learned about what scripture has to say about our identity. God says that children are like arrows in a quiver. He also says we are His children. We are adopted into His family.

Woodworking for March

We have a local craftsman that is excited to teach woodworking. He will be teaching cutting, sanding, router work, how to use a planer, laminating pieces together with disks, and finishing. We are needing a few supplies equalling about $10 per camper if you feel called to sponsor any campers. 12-18 campers.

Upcoming Needs

* I will be traveling to Florida to visit with a single mom ministry to potentially partner with. I am needing connections with churches there, airline miles for travel, and prayers. * Please be praying for land and a truck provided for camp to grow and develop further * We need campers sponsored. 14 of the 20 campers are not sponsored. Sponsorship is $50 a month. * We need an 8 - 12 foot utility trailer for equipment moving such as lawn care camp, small engine camp, and serving the community.
